Bisphenol-A Needs to Go Away

BPA (bisphenol-Ain plastics, thermal papers, cans. It’s everywhere and study after study has shown that BPA is an endocrine disrupter. What’s an endocrine disrupter? It’s a chemical that disrupts the hormones in our body. It’s especially hazardous to infants and small kids.

Even though BPA does not apparently stay in adult bodies for long, the fact that it is everywhere in so many products that contain food and beverages means that there is always a new supply to enter our bodies. So in fact it never effectively does leave our body. Or your infants or your small child’s. Ever wonder why kids are developing so early these days? Hmmmmmmm, could there be a connection?

Now the FDA has refused to ban BPA because the studies are not good enough for them. No true causality shown between BPA and hormone disruption in humans? What? How far does this known chemical pollutant have to travel in our bodies and our lives before something is done about this?

This outrage is one more reason we need real government regulation over industry. FDA please stop pandering to the chemical plastics industry and ban BPA now!
